Frequently Asked Questions
Does this clamp require drilling the rail?
Normally the U-bolt wraps around the member and the plate clamps against it, so drilling the rail may not be required. Compatibility, clearances and the effect of tightening on the member must still be verified.
Are round and square versions available?
Yes. Both forms are shown. The inside width, height, bend radius and plate hole spacing should be matched to the actual round, square or rectangular profile.
Can the eye nuts be used for lifting or personal suspension?
Not without a rated and approved system. The complete clamp, eye nuts, supported member, installation and applied load must be engineered and tested for any lifting or safety-critical use.
