Manual Butterfly Valve with Clamp-End Connections
This valve combines clamp-end ferrules with a manually operated lever and a bolted body. The product views show blue-covered and metal lever configurations, along with the internal disc and seat. Specify the required handle, connection dimensions and process conditions when requesting a quotation.
Reference Specifications and Order Options
| Parameter | Reference and confirmation requirements |
|---|---|
| Valve configuration | Manual butterfly valve with clamp ends and a bolted body. |
| Material | 304 and 316 stainless steel appear in the supplier reference. Confirm body, disc, stem and other wetted-part grades for the selected configuration. |
| Handle options | Metal lever and blue-covered lever shown. Cover material, handle dimensions and locking positions require confirmation. |
| Connection dimensions | The selected supplier option lists Φ19 and a 50.5 mm clamp ferrule. Confirm what Φ19 denotes and verify the ferrule profile, tube dimensions and mating connection against a drawing; these values do not establish a connection standard. |
| Seat and seals | A red seat is visible in some views. Compound, hardness, chemical compatibility and any food-contact documentation are not established by color or photography. |
| Pressure and temperature | To be confirmed for the valve, seal and complete connection assembly under the stated service conditions. |
| Surface finish | Metallic finish as pictured. Required internal finish, roughness and cleaning criteria must be specified separately. |
| Scope of supply | Confirm valve configuration and quantity. Mating clamps, line gaskets and other connection hardware are not assumed to be included. |
Connection and Process Selection
Provide a drawing or dimensions for the mating ferrule, including outside diameter and sealing profile, plus tube outside diameter, wall thickness and required passage size. A clamp diameter alone is not a complete interface specification.
For service review, identify the process medium, operating and cleaning temperatures, pressure range and cleaning chemicals. Include installation orientation, available handle clearance and the required operating positions. Seal selection and valve suitability need to be confirmed against these requirements before ordering.
Application and Documentation Requirements
Enquiries may include food, beverage or other process piping where a clamp-connected manual valve is specified. Such use is conditional on material, seal, finish, cleanability and documentation requirements being met. The sanitary-style connection and supplier description do not establish food-contact approval, a hygiene certification or a particular connection standard.
For procurement inspection, define dimensional checks, handle operation, surface condition and the required leak or pressure test acceptance criteria. Request material traceability, seal documentation and any inspection records with the enquiry so their availability and scope can be confirmed. See AODSON quality-control capabilities.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does a 50.5 mm clamp ferrule identify the valve bore?
No. The ferrule dimension and the flow-passage or tube dimensions must be specified separately. Confirm the full connection drawing before matching components.
Can the seal compound be identified from the red seat?
No. Ask for the seal material specification and the documentation required for your medium and cleaning conditions.
Is this valve automatically approved for food processing?
No approval is established by the supplied reference. State the applicable food-contact and hygiene requirements so the selected valve and documentation can be reviewed.
