Corrosion Never Sleeps.
Engineered components designed for chloride-rich, seawater and aggressive industrial environments.
The engineering question
How do engineers prevent chloride corrosion, pitting corrosion and seawater failure?
AODSON manufactures custom corrosion-resistant engineered components for offshore, seawater systems, desalination, chemical processing, marine engineering and coastal infrastructure.
The work starts with the environment: chloride concentration, temperature, crevice risk, stress, flow condition and chemical exposure. From there, the component geometry, alloy selection and inspection plan are engineered together.
Why stainless steel sometimes fails
Chlorides attack the weak points first.
Ordinary stainless steels can perform well in clean service, then fail quickly when salt spray, seawater, stagnant crevices or aggressive chemicals concentrate chlorides on the surface.

Decision guide
Match the alloy to the exposure.

Featured materials
316L
A reliable baseline for fresh water, mild chemical media and controlled environments where chloride loading is limited.
- General corrosion resistance
- Cost-effective stainless option
- Useful when crevice risk is controlled

2205
Duplex 2205 offers higher strength and better chloride resistance than standard austenitic stainless steels in seawater-adjacent service.
- Higher yield strength
- Improved pitting resistance
- Good fit for pumps, valves and pipe components

2507
Super Duplex 2507 is selected when seawater, higher chlorides and mechanical loading demand stronger resistance margins.
- High PREN range
- Strong chloride pitting resistance
- Suitable for demanding offshore and desalination components

Featured alloy
Alloy 926
UNS N08926 / EN 1.4529 is engineered for severe chloride environments where ordinary stainless grades no longer provide enough protection.
- Excellent chloride pitting and crevice resistance
- Strong choice for seawater and desalination duty
- Available as custom fasteners and machined components

Monel 400
Nickel-copper alloy performance for marine applications, seawater hardware and selected chemical service where toughness and corrosion resistance matter.
- Marine component capability
- Good resistance in flowing seawater
- Useful for valve and pump parts

Hastelloy C276
A nickel-molybdenum-chromium alloy for aggressive chemical media, mixed acids and difficult industrial corrosion problems.
- Resistance to oxidizing and reducing media
- Used in chemical processing equipment
- Machined or cast to project requirements

Inconel 625
A high-performance nickel alloy for seawater, high-strength components and service where corrosion and temperature both influence design.
- Nickel alloy strength
- Seawater and chloride resistance
- Custom components for harsh environments
Applications
Built for systems that cannot tolerate premature corrosion failure.
